Heat, A flare and A Horrible Neighbour

Hi all.

I haven’t written on my blog for a while because the heat has been causing my fibromyalgia to flare majorly. I haven’t been able to walk much or work on my fitness, but I have been trying to stay positive and get out there on my mobility scooter, and do bits and bobs when I’m able.

Fox Cubs and Deer

Hi all. This is my latest walk from a couple of nights ago, I’m desperately trying to make them more regular, and will keep updating my progress, but fibromyalgia loves to make that difficult. I keep reminding myself that I’m doing my best, and doing all I can. My determination is strong and I will keep plodding along towards my goals.

Reducing Medications and An Update

Hi all.

Today consisted of a visit to my psychiatrist which went as well as it can, I think. She’s a good one, and I’m blessed to have her. It’s hard to find good doctors in the mental health profession and I feel I have a good relationship with her.

The Numbered Scales I Created to Help Track and Explain My Chronic Illnesses

I use numbered scales to describe how I am feeling on a daily basis in regard to my bipolar disorder and fibromyalgia for several reasons. I find it much easier to tell my support system how I am feeling: they have copies of my scales and I am able to just give them two numbers, so they know how I’m doing each day.
